Hurricane Sandy Relief in Baldwin, NY

In October of 2012 Hurricane Sandy hit New York, destroying homes and lives. Widespread damage was caused in the New York Metropolitan area. Response volunteer teams are being dispatched to assist in the rebuilding of homes - and sharing hope.

Additional Information:
- Each team should have 2 or 3 people with strong construction skills that can lead and guide a group of 4 or 5 of their team members.
- Each team is responsible for the purchase and preparation of their groups meals.
- Each team is responsible for morning and evening devotions for their team.
- Sleeping quarters, kitchen and group area are provided.
- Volunteers need to bring a twin air mattress or cot, linens/sleeping bag, pillow, towels and personal hygiene items.
- A washer and dryer are available for use by the teams.
- Tools will be provided, but volunteers may bring their own tool belts and small hand tools.
