Restoring Hope In Haiti
Northwest Haiti Christian Mission has been serving and ministering to the people in the NW Region of Haiti since the mid 1970’s. They serve the poor and oppressed in the Western Hemisphere’s poorest nation because they love the people and they know that God loves them too. They serve their community with the hope that their work becomes a tool for healing and strengthening people’s relationship with God. Whether they are sharing the gospel, meeting people’s basic human needs, or improving their living conditions, they aim to always be encouraging individuals in their faith journey and pointing them toward a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Sharing Hope Ministries was blessed to partner with NWHCM for a week in January, 2020 , as our team participated in many outreach opportunities to serve and love on the people in the community of Mole Saint Nicolas, Haiti. The following are a few ways the team was able to serve. Construction Christmas Party for the children in the orphanage Redecorate the orphan’s rooms with new bedding and beautiful décor VBS for the children in 2 communities Movie night at the park Spa day for 30 women from the community Women’s Bible study Providing over 100 new dresses for the girls in the orphanage and community Children’s church on Sunday and Youth Group on Sunday evening Spending time with the kids in the community and at the orphanage and just loving on them and letting them know that they are loved and valued. We all came home so incredibly bless by this experience and by the Haitian people. |
